Boston Music Scene

NOTE: The Boston Music Scene web pages have moved to http://www.dreams.org/Boston/Music/
N.B.: I've moved to California. As such, this may not get updated as often, since it's harder to keep track of things when you're 3,000 miles away. ;-) I worked for an awesome company called Tellme Networks.

I've since started a typeface design company called Slanted Hall, specializing in music notation fonts and international scripts, along with tools development. Though I've had to slow down due to a complex Crohn's Disease diagnosis a couple years after moving to California, I still accept the occasional concert photography gig. I'm also planning to record new music in 2020. --Jeff Kellem

The Boston Music Scene is alive and thriving. There are bands involved in almost every genre and many good bands, to boot. I used to attend local (Boston) rock shows anwhere from 5 to 20 hours per week. I'll try to include info on the main clubs in the Boston, MA, USA area. The bands listed are favorites of mine, of which there are many. I'll try to keep this up-to-date, as my [non-existent] spare time permits.

Mikey Dee passed away on 6 July 2003. He had suffered a devastating brainstem stroke after undergoing routine heart sugery on 7 Feb 2000. For more information, see the web site about Mikey Dee. It has information on the Mikey Dee Musicians Benefit Trust.
